Thor has been getting the full court press from Marvel recently as they try to push his movie through pre-production. Newsarama.com has a preview of THOR: TALES OF ASGARD and it looks glorious. It's a collection of the classic short stories by Stan "The Man" Lee, Jack "King" Kirby and various bullpen inkers including none other than Don "What The" Heck. It's tricked out with digital coloring and new covers by Olivier Coipel. The colors are nicely done- they strengthen the depth of Kirby's compositions and never overwhelm the lines. The covers are fine on their own, but the style clashes with the interiors. And is that Aquaman hanging out near Thor's thunder crotch?
